@ Alidium :: An alternative to PS could be GIMP. Haven't personally used it, but there are a bunch of tutorials with how-to's on making gifs in it. Here's one ->http://www.wikihow.com/Create-an-Animated-GIF-Image-with-GIMP @Lu u, It seems Maya is more wildly used, or at least has a greater market share at the moment in…
Hey sinnelius yep, that's my voice.. pitched up a few degrees with a bit of help from the audio software :poly121: The storyboard and golden poses for the scene were plotted out on a sunday evening. Then, throughout the week i'd plug away at it the animation whenever i had some free time. Finally, finishing off the sndfx &…
Yeah I stopped working in the industry- one of life's crazy twists. In my personal life ,things took a turn for the worst and I had to quit my job and put my career on hold for awhile. Though in the last year or so, I've started animating again- occasionally helping out on some indie projects to freshen up
Rmunday, its a decent start. You need to fix some of your posing though. You have balance issues. Specifically when you turn around. Also, don't waste your time with rendering. Playblasts work best when the scene isnt finished. Rendering takes time away from making the anim look perfect.
I'm using 3Ds max to animate but whenever I try to use in/out tangents (step I think) it just acts as if it's a normal default tangent. I was watching a tutorial on digital tutors and his seems to work correctly and I followed him exactly but mine just reverts to auto smoothing between frames. Anyone know what I'm doing…
:icon60: ah! Thanks guys. Hearing that kinda stuff really helps fuel up the ol' motivation tank PeteHawk:: These Rigs are just your basic Character Studio Biped rigs in 3dsmax2011. Nothing to spiffy, but they're almost bullet-proof. (minus the weird Animation Link Constraint bug) The characters themselves are about 10…
Hi guys been lurking for a while recently due to mega crunch on Lego City. But ive enjoyed watching this thread as I tried to start something similar a long time ago but alas Lego City was crunching even back then. There has been great progress and il be adding my own attempts and encouragement here very soon! But ive a…
I created this animation before leaving work the other day, probably in total around an hour, but the UDK stuff took me longer. Mainly just going through the process of setting up the package, getting the kismet and matinee set up and finding the right blast from their stock particle FX.…
Looking great Simon! My only nitpick with your animation is his 'angry moment'. Something about that fist hitting the couch looks unnatural, most likely the part afterwards when he raise it. I think it would look better to just keep the fist on the arm rest and let the upper body speak for itself, I think it could become…
Second crack at proper speed animation. Put the timer on 20min. This was my result. This is REALLY HARD! Great way to find bottle necks in the workflow and force myself to look at the big things. For this one I mostly focused on just getting movement on all the body parts. Timing and weight feels really off though and it…
