@GuanAndOnly when someone says power of 2 (in regards to textures, plane meshes size, etc), it usually means following the scale of units of numbers on the power of 2 (IE: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, so on so forth).
