post your normal map to see if it's wrong. try applying the normal map in a default max shader, not xoluil and see if the problems still there. -

Rename TONS of groups from default of "Group XX" to something like "thisName_XXX". I will take a look at that command tonight, thanks Haiddasalami. -

Thanks guy's. @KingLuke24. This is just using Max, and to render I used a bright grey material, default scanline renderer with Radiosty turned on. -

Have you tried turning it off then using the "Save current settings as default" option from the Options menu in the Edit UVWs window? -

thomasp: Yeah, XSI's keyboard mapping is really good for that (file->keyboard mapping). These are the default settings, which have worked fine for myself. -

i just make the mesh object black and apply a 100% gray material ... other than that i think it's the default viewport settings -

I guess what I was getting at was is there a certain value/multiplier to use? or does it even matter? Marmoset defaults to 10 3point to 25
