Thanks very much, I have just over a month to complete it (student project) Thanks so much for linking that environment, its CRAZY good. I wish I could make stuff that good but not even sure how.
I know this thread is old, but another way to avoid this is to harden the edges of the UV shell borders. I was still a student back in 2009 so I didn't know what I was doing :D ....hell... I still don't...
@Paquette_e if you live near montreal, probably you wont be too far from good opportunity. there is a lot of CG active art community there, during summer, they tend to have some good gathering. ( no boundaries between student and professional )
This is looking pretty sweet so far, and I'm looking forward to the end result! :D You said you were a student though; how much experience do you have doing 3D Modeling, may I ask?
wow. I am getting lazy. I either need to speed these up or sleep less. while I was painting this last one, the CBS National Evening news was interviewing the head of our program and a student in the same room. Neat!
Yeah, I guess for students or what not it's probably important to point them in a path that's good 100% of the time. I'm always surprised how little is understood about this artform for people getting into it.. so much fking stuff to learn and understand.
If I fix the blur, I'll have to remake my textures from scratch. This is something I can do in summer vacation. Cause I'm a student and have lots of projects going on. But I'll place it on my to do list :) And thanks :)
Well I am a student but I can't work on the site to get the software. After I put in my email and click Step2 nothing happens. I reloaded the page, tried again and then checked my school email. nothing :(
Right. Which is why my wife and myself are graduate students with 4.0 GPA's. Has anyone else noticed the number of tattooed chefs on Food Network? It's like the only way you'll see a tattooed professional is on Food Network or Discovery.
Students at the school I used to go to would always continually say shit like "holy shit that's awesome, what program was that made in?" Every time they saw a 3d thing, the what program question followed. I didn't get it...
