at this time i had progressed by finishing the main part of the body and starting the front side of the gun too. the front side is inspired by the old metro train wagon (will be better visible when finished) with the holes being as windows, the rusty part as rusty roof. the body has a symbol of city which i am including…
Ahoburg, heya mate There is no shortcuts or schemes you can do to retopo something like what you're showing. I would simply take the Highpoly and remove some edges and polygons the old hard way, or use zbrush decimate to have a not too high start and work through all the way. I hope this helps
I like it, it looks deceptively easy. Like the old saying goes: It's really hard to make something look easy. I agree, it does almost look like a house you'd see in WoW, although the lighting is a little strong and the colors are a little too saturated for that style...which is not a bad thing by any means :P
We have played BF1942 in the past on our new server. It's hard to get enuff guys to make it worth while. Also, I'm a Desert Combat fan till BF2 shows up....Old BF1942 is just a bit too slow for me. Altough I'd still play with my [PC] buddies any time.
Awesome episode! Edward James Olmos is the man. He's got that thunderous look down to a tee. Regarding the chief looking at the wall at the end, I think it may just be a sign that the ship is getting old and has suffered too much - it was already commented by a different character earlier in the episode that the ship was…
I will be in town but cant attend, will be there with the missus,i would love to meet up with some of my old colleagues who i imagine will be there. Anyone need suggestions on places to eat and drink in Copenhagen let me know. Also places to meet women too because man does Copenhagen have some of the most hotest.
That's what we do at work too. Other advantages are that you can then move apart pieces of the high poly model (if need be) to bake, whilst still retaining the exact occlusion detail. And if you are kit-bashing, you can load in old models that already have AO baked for them and just bake that to the low poly.
A great improvement from your old model. I would like to see little less contrast on the gloves and maybe some faint dustbrown taints too. If you want some more detail on the kneecaps you could try and use some lines that looks similar to the flexible ones you got on the flakjacket on them.
Cool stuff Mya, I like the stylization you've accomplished here. It's not too often one gets to see strikingly graphic and minimalistic 3D work like this. Plus: beaten up old robots are awesome. What's this talk of Photoshop filters? This cel-shaded look is pretty easily accomplished in realtime with shaders, no 'shopping…
Slowly but surely the thing starts to look somewhat decent. Added dirt, scratches and rivets. Next i will be refining the legs. They are too clean right now. Not sure yet whether or not they need hair. The armchair might need some more damage. Then again i want it to look used, not old and broken. As always opinions and…
