Hey Martin, your stuff looks great! - I'd get rid of the brick texture. All your textures look great and show skill, but this one is quite simple. - All your stuff looks finished except the one with the boat. The boat doesn't really look textured and its the first thing that my eye is drawn to. -

I would punch up the colors in the roof tiles to break it up a bit more. Try something else other than white for the building, its making the whole model dull/washed-out. The bricks need more of an out-line to make it look like its really cracking out of the wall and not just an alpha. -

Weird, it seems the thinner the strip of polys the more distortion there is but im still having problems This is the border of a ship, and the result is after cutting it at the stern and bow and unwrapping... Sure I can just manually stretch that longer part but I don't understand why it isn't coming out even. If this was… -

I need to get a 360 or a ps3, I'm not too excited about the design of the 'new' 360 (it doesn't have a name, which is silly). But you can't complain about (hopefully) better cooling, less noise, wifi, bigger HDD. but the power brick is still huge, and it is kinda an uglier version of the original ps3 and the black wii. -

If you generated the normals in Maya, try inverting the green channel in Photoshop? I think I read that on the UDN. As said by others, try tiling the brick texture, and overlay a generic grunge/dirt texture over that using the Unreal Material Editor. It should help give you the same effect, but only use 2 textures... -

It's a good start, but I think it could use more contrast and interest. Maybe some more dirt and vines growing on the windmill, and some color variation on the bricks, a few props sitting around, little touches like that. It also looks like the trunk of the tree isn't textured. A little more love and it'll look nice. -

Scott: that's the idea. You sculpt all sides, so you can just flip them any way you want to break up the pattern. Quite fun to do, actually. edit: actually, just one brick, as far as I'm aware. Not only can you rotate, you can flip it horizontally and vertically. -

There isn't much difference among your brick, street, and sidewalk textures. Gray cobblestones would probably work best for the street. Space was at a premium in older towns; any free space would, at the least, be filled with booths, or even un-official buildings. Chimneys were large and often ornate in Tudor-era buildings. -
