nice work man. yeah 40k is like a virus. once you get it into your system you tend to go a little nuts.... the idea of building a companyt of marines is kicking about in my head. im just glad i STARTED with the dread rather than having all that work looming in my future.. :P
You can, but you have to use Symbolic Links which NTFS does do, but is usually a PITA to make. Luckily there is a freebie program called. http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html I keep all my steam games that I don't play as often on an external drive while my current games on my ssd.
Btw, I can't stand Max's camera navigation. The moment you deselect something and Max magically decides to move the orbit pivot somewhere else just because, drives me nuts. I'll keep playing with Modo, but I'm probably not going to switch until I actually feel like it can perform better overall.
There's some things that are easier to keep at separate objects in order to save polygons, stuff like nuts or bolts, but that center piece doesn't seem like something you should float. Floating parts can waste more uv space, and can cause some lighting issues. Most times UV space > triangles saved.
just a little update. was having some weird geometry issues with his head so i just shaved his head down and gave him more of a helmet of armor on his head... dunno if im digging it as much... i might redo it again. need to fix the wrinkles on his hand. I kinda went nuts there...
Yeah this is extremely ridiculous. A "contest" where users submit work to make the contest organizer money, where if you "win", you don't even get compensation. People who ask for free work drive me nuts, 10x so if you're asking a group of people to compete for that free work. How crazy ARE people?
HAH! That's awesome. I just went on that a few weeks ago. It looks really spot on so far. The thing goes so damn fast I really have no idea though. You need to make the nettings they have in areas so your phone and keys don't fall out of your pocket and hit people on the head.
Looks great. I thought she was sposed to be really tall and skinny until I read the profile again: "6ft 3 (in Blades).... She moves around on Force skates with glowing blades" You going to make her some blades/skates then? Perhaps something a bit Tron like? Will you put much cyborg stuff in?
It makes sense; the reason given was that it prevents people from simply subbing for one month to get the newest release, then immediately cancelling. I just kinda wish they could have found a better option. I don't PLAN to unsub at all, but if I had to for whatever reason, having to re-buy the whole program is nuts.
don't you be quoting american dictionaries at me after being completely adamant on this point i've been trawling the net to fucking well prove it, and it turns out "seperate" has been classed as archaic over the past 30 years. Well, no-one told me. And therefore i'm setting out to reclaim it for the modern age.
