Thing is, my terrain has texture variations. Stone, Grass, Riverbed, moss, etc. I can't simply pop on a simple tileable texture and be done with it... -

Great work!Your scenes,characters and props are pretty good. But I personally don't like those stones,they makes the scene looked little empty. -

The thing i find most important when creating a base mesh is even topology. Human or stone, always try to keep everything as even as possible. -

Not sure if it helps any, but the overhanging parts of the raparts that had holes - through which they dropped oil, stones, cuss words, etc - were called machicolations. -

grue? pweh, thats the perfect description of a norwegian troll. if they are hit by sunlight, they are turned into stone. norwegian mythology states that the mountains are made of giant petrified trolls.
