I have such weird problem with udk's post processing and fog giving me artifacts I can disable it by using commands in console, but I want to keep it, I have no idea what causes this, once I opened UDK and everything was fine. I also use older version of udk, the new ones don't open for me.
Just to throw in a personal story, we interviewed an animator from South Africa, he was here on a student visa. We talked to our lawyer and he said it was a lot less paperwork to hire a foreign student but still a gauntlet. The guy was awesome so we decided to give it a go. The first major hurdle was getting certified to…
It looks like it might be a scale issue. Either try scaling your model right down, or change the Maya unit scale from centimetres to metres (Window>settings/preferences>preferences>settings). Save the scene and re-open it or restart Maya and re-open it.
So I don't know how to fix the image problem. Opening it in another link works though... Yeah every time I try to open the render tutorial it gives me a 403 forbidden error. Edit: Thanks BARDLER I'll check it out.
Shooo, hoping someone will pick up in a set, but.... Go for it. I think the wings could work as a solo item, if no one else is interested in the set. I would prefer doing the textures (or attempting to with lots of guides open), but I'm open to other working arrangements. :)
Yes, this is a very old and ongoing issue that open subdiv was supposed to alleviate but it isn't 100%. There are many hacks and workarounds that people have tried over the years but none are 100% either. Try changing the open subdiv UV boundary dropdown to Smooth(edge&corner)
I downloaded that new service pack and unfortunately didn't change anything. I'm also getting this max script dialog to open by default every time I open Max. I'm just going to download 2014 and be done with it. 2012 has been frustrating.
In some sites are giving open beta keys for those who want to try the game. I could get one, so i will be playing the open beta ^^ without paying for the game, right now i'm downloading the client, more than 9 gb.
Bridge will work fine for this situation. But if bridge did fail that means both edges aren't actually open edges (or they share the same vertex, which is highly unlikely with this particular model). If they aren't open edges then just select the polygons that are there and bridge the polys instead of edge.
Subversion and TortoiseSVN is a good choice, I'd say. I like how you don't actually have to have a separate app open like you do with AlienBrain and Perforce, SVN just incorporates into Windows Explorer. Less open windows to worry about.
