Tbh, with a normal map with that low detail on it and that size resolution it's probably better not to use one at all... It puts strain on the engine with practically no solid visual benefits. get rid of it and have a rethink on the details of the walls and it looks like your steel ledges are generally quite rusty however…
Ardent I like it so far but it does look like some of your textures still need a little work. You're at a great base point where you can start throwing more details onto all the textures. The scale is off on the bricks in each building which looks kinda of funky. It also looks like you have some kind of post processing…
Your model's looking pro! The texture is hard to judge, though. It could be fine, it could not be, but your render setup isn't doing a good job of showing it off. There's too much light in the scene and it's causing your highlights to get blown out. You don't want to see whole patches of flat white (or black) on your…
@Sebvhe Thanks! Yeah true, but I kind of liked the idea of having a more cleared path in the middle of the image. It just came down to preference :) Yeah most likely there is some wonkiness in some spots but the scene and material got a bit heavy for my little laptop so working with it became a bit of a chore in the end so…
Much better! I personaly can't say that i see the difference between them niether.. Btw, i got some really good tips back in my playground squad thread when we did the personal projects. Johan Carlsson had some great points, though the picture he made me is now gone. He pointed out that you should add small branches…
I think you need to rework many of your highlights as they've got the wrong shape entirely. For example the exhausts at the back have these soft round highlights when it should really be a big streak going along the shape (like this) and on the rims of the front plate you've got these round highlights again when it should…
A few thoughts: The stock is probably too curved to fit nicely into your shoulder, it would wrap around too much. Most guns have fairly flat shoulderpads with slight bends. The trigger seems to be too close to the stock. With the shoulderpad resting on your shoulder, your arm would have to be bent out and then sharply back…
There's a difference between offering a critique that someone can use and just being a flat-out dick. Your post is falling into flat-out dick territory. It's not offering anything helpful for Davefozza. Instead, it's basically just flinging insults at someone who's obviously trying to get better. Pull the stick out of your…
Good job. Your spec map is acceptable under traditional game rendering techniques. However marmoset uses PBR. Correct use of specularity/reflectance and roughness/microsurface will really improve your model for your given renderer. You wouldn't tend to see colour in a physically based spec map with the materials you have.…
Cool, definitely did that fast, good quality to have. Few things I still see: tracks need some tweaking. They're much wider, seem proportionally wider than the D9's. Also the spacing over the track spline is off, they're splitting up at the corners. Gotta add more or readjust the trainmaker script. Make sure the pivots are…
