Looks nice, assets seem clean, light, post and materials seem vibrant. The scene itself is pretty low scope so with something like this, I guess your opportunity to show off to employers is in your ability to work realistically and optimally so demonstrate how all those picture frame content etc is atlased (i hope) etc. -

Try this: Problem A: use a 32bit TGA,maybe aswell switch to "High Quality" in the viewport(Maya is a bit iffy with .psd's) Problem B:In the uv editor,after selecting an object,go to Texture and switch to the actual texturename,you can set a few different options in here aswell,like using the textures actual dimensions etc… -

Yeah. Once you've created something the fun sort of goes away since you've done your aim. Starting fresh would be fun. Also having a tidy spawn would be nice XD Hell perhaps with a fresh start everyone could put their efforts into one big project. Like a recreation of Helms Deep (cliche) etc etc. -

But if you look at it from a business point of view, they have to train another employee to their pipeline and get them up to speed with everything they need (ie computer machine, licenses etc etc) Sounds like it would be more hassle which is why big companies usually offer internships while smaller companies I think tend… -

Did you check that the normals are unified, that the maps carried over, etc.? Because when I look at it, your main building is missing a UV map and there's no rhyme or reason to the layout. I think your maps got botched, because the steps, etc. are fine. Ralusek's got it. Remember to add a light to the scene when using… -

Thanks. Yeah Retribution is a playable level (3rd person). It was a 3 man project. I was designer, environment modeler, animator, technical artist doing animation and character imports, triggers, AI scripts, enemy paths etc etc. One guy modeled all characters and did all environment textures, and another guy modeled some… -

I think a Karma system would be great. Maybe whoever gets the most war karma from giving good crits and paintovers etc. gets a special title, or a community award etc. Maybe they could even get a plug or something one the dom war site, though this would be a bit of a stretch seeing as its not run by polycount. -

I hate seeing different people model the same popular pistols, rifles, guns, cars, and props, over and over again. I like seeing stuff that's different (existing or fictional), or based on realism and real guns, but with twists, or at least some personality added to it, like straps, tape, custom added parts, broken plastic… -

It sucks, but you are not allowed to resell hl2, nor would just selling the disk alone work, the buyer would have to re register the steam account needed to enable it, and it says in big bold letters hidden in the EULA that no transfer of that type is permitted etc etc, you are not even supposed to give it to your little…
