Thanks for the front page! Worked on some damage inside the coffee shop so it looks nastier. I'm also constantly playing with the lighting. It's less dramatic now, but I quite like the dim look it has. Aside from that I added a few props - the car is from an older project though, I just added a post-apocalypse-pass ;)
Deferred decals have some limitations, yes. If you have tried all the blending modes then im afraid theres nothing else to do. Either try to make the emmissive material behind another transparent material (think of a headlight) and the decal will project only on the glass. Or make the decal an actual mesh with transparency…

I do detailing in Zbrush for damage and frayed/ tattered cloth but even that now can be done in Painter so for the most part MD8 and not Zbrush. For when I don't feel like paying for MD8 because the cloth is not that important as an element or that intricately folded I use blender. Though Zbrush is good for this workflow.…
Sorry for the lack of info. Its just a wing with damaged plating. As mentioned I need more texture resolution on the plating. After normalizing the uv shells they are to small. So scaling them up seems ok. The red outlines are metal plates I scaled up. That's it. Would definitely like to hear about other methodes :-)…
Hey, this gas pump looks pretty sick. Great job :) - Your rubber hose looks a lot newer than the rest of the pump. I would suggest maybe adding large scratches, more roughness variation, something of the sort. - Could use some dirt/grime/chipping damage at the base. These are just opinions. Looks really cool.
@TheGabmeister Thank you! Yes, this is what I want, to be something like Dying Light/ Fallout 4/ Far cry Dawn, some post-apocalyptic world where the people still have hope and maybe not many years have passed since disaster/war. ( because I don't want to make the scene very messy/damaged.
This is looking nice! Lighting is a little off but you already said that is still a work in progress. Other than that I think just a few of the assets could do with a bit more love. For example, that wooden palette in the second to last image is pristine! I would expect to see a bit more dirt/damage on it. Looking great…
jebus, this is coming out awesome! I can't believe you actually modeled out those leg straps instead of just doing an alpha, they look great. Love that face. Only crit I can possibly offer would be to really pop that spec difference of the grundge/ damage paint fleck (whatever the lighter toned speckles are) on the chest.
So, next week is rapidly approaching, and we've only got six or seven folks so far. Is that right? Anyone else coming? Once again, the Splash Damage lot are conspicuous by their absence....:shifty: Depending on how many we're expecting, I'll look at reserving a table sometime around Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Might…
