could someone please tell Autodesk that it is 2015 now and there is other countries in the world with internet available. asking me to find local reseller is like asking me to run around the town looking for landline while holding cell in my hand. dinosaurs.
If you believe that diversity in the game industry is a relevant issue and would like to do something to move the needle, consider reaching out to organizations like Gameheads (http://gameheadsoakland.org/). Gameheads is based in Oakland, California -- you don't need to be local to make a difference.
I use the Polycount wiki for stuff I think others would also be interested. For other info I want to save I have my own local private wiki. Not as easy as pen and paper (got that too) but nicely searchable and crosslinkable.
Marlfox; you may also find such books in the local library. Give it a look if you live in Toronto they would charge you $3.25 to create your library card. ^^ Besides, why would you want to spend money on the stuff that is uploaded on youtube.
Wont know until he tries it. But even if he has to manually inflate problem areas beforehand, play with the projection distance / envelope, or keep the projection localized to certain areas, it can still save time vs starting all over again.
hehe thanks, i somehow like to draw those stuff to troll in internet. or express my anger as a support in comic XD side note, i hope this forum can revamp all smiley icon like my local forum do
As a general note, we can't just pull images to host them locally. People need to voluntarily upload their images. Hosting involuntarily runs into some sort of legal issue, even though of course we have your best interests at heart.
An IK bone chain should work. Link the first bone to the character's hand, so it moves with the character. You'll have to animate the rope by rotating the bones (use local rotation). You can save the animations and re-load them, just as with biped.
Yes, those areas are all totally alpha'ed out. Plus, most of the textures have only 1-bit alpha, only the "eyelids" have a soft alpha channel. Locally variable compression is a hella good thing, where can I get it?
JFletcher: No that's not the test. It's a generator type thing. Thegodzero: Definitely man, it'd be cool to meet up with some local polycounters. I'd also like to start up or join some sketch group up there if I can find people that are interested. Ja?
