I think that's a pretty poor photoshop, it's too cheesy looking. Top left is the original released screenshot. Of all of the recolours I've seen, the bottom right one is my favourite. It captures a nice vibrant tone but looks modern, maybe because everything that's colourful is glowing and bright with a deep red fog to add…
I think this scene makes a good case for UE4 more fully supporting better area lights with shaped specular and such. Under the exact right circumstances the reflections look good, but could look better if they were from analytic lightsources. But that's just an aside criticism for Epic themselves. Also, having just come…
Yes I have SimpleGrassWind Node Okay now I Disable "Light Map Resolution" and the result are look OK. Right now UE4 are using light map from my Grass Mesh instead right? So this should not cause a problems about "Light map Memory" later right?
I think the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl-L to revert the viewport back to the default lighting. It might be the same as what you're trying now, I'm not sure but Ctrl-L works for me.
Hello ! Here is my issue: I am building a scene in UDK, and I added some small skeletal mesh of red papers hanging from a tree (This scene: http://24.media.tumblr.com/d711070f088552607e9f4547f62ddb39/tumblr_mijesgBQlZ1s6o4nio1_1280.jpg ). The thing is, with my ambient lighting of the scene, and the lights positions, there…
Started playing the beta last night, and it felt good to be back. I played gears 1 multiplayer a ton for a good couple of years, and didn't end up playing gears 2 mp all that much. Had a blast last night, and it feels a lot more polished. The one thing that I noticed right off the bat was how nice the lighting looked and…
Thanks man, yeah your guys work is rockin the workshop right now! Congrats on that, nice stuff there. Can sure cover a lot of ground with teams like that, it's pretty cool. The DOTA Shader in Maya is a little unintuitive, didn't realize you had to actually paste the name of the light into the slot. Derp. I think max's has…
The rectangular highlights in the eyes feel much too bright and too large. The placement is also odd, being much closer to the center on his right eye, which would only occur if the light were extremely close. The double highlight is also something most portrait photographers try to avoid (the second one is usually caused…
Yes, an apple under red light would look similar to a metallic sphere under white light. But if you want both in the same scene, you'll need colored specmaps. BTW, on second thought you might achieve a really white highlight on the apple by using an aqua specmap. Because specmaps are additive, and red + aqua = white.…
Thank you. Yes windows and balconys would be a great addition. But I think it would a slight problem to add them to the interior right now. The walls that would look good with windows are in the directions of nothingness. While I would love to add some extra landscape surrounding the map, I don't feel i have the time to do…
