tnx man, i don`t know if not having a clear focus will be good or bad for me in the end but i`m really afraid to eventually end up in a rut because its really hard to get out of.
O that end description was painful for me too as at the end of the day we all are artists here with imaginations :D . Thank you for your kind feedback really helped on some designs i have to make soon. :)
@ruebenDodds Thankyou! I use marvelous designer to get a base mesh for my clothes and the props are either made in 3DS Max or just in Zbrush by dynameshing etc :) But then yeah I end up detailing it in Zbrush at the end!
Do you have a concept? I don't think you're gonna want to end up with something modeled out that you don't like conceptually in the end, unless you figured out the whole concept first?
On topic: I'd recommend that you set a goal and work hard trying to achieve it. Believe that the hard work will pay off in the end and you'll make it! I ended up at a small developer here in Sweden after 2-3 months of graduation.
Having alot of trouble figuring this out. Can anyone think of why this is happening. The texture is a 128x128 and has no normal. The lighting is not set up 100%. I just placed dummy lights till the end. I want to do the lighting at the end.
Got it. I wish I knew about this sooner, I'm going to have some fun with this. One thing .. Is there a way to restrict where the curve starts and ends? At the mo I'm deleting the edges at the beginning and the end of the loop to restrict the curve to that loop.
I'm curious what about the ending people dislike. The game does leave you wanting more, but the game is completely tied up and has a great resolution that serves the characters well. It's not quite a happy ending, but it isn't a happy game either.
Working on the front end of the Land Rover. Going to try to finish up the main body by week's end. There were a few complicated transitions in the light areas. It felt really good to get those done and looking the way I wanted them to.
From the concept I get the idea that the 'lid' opens differently, once the turret has reached it's peak the disc splits and moves along the slides staying flat until it gets to the end; once at the end of the sliders the disc halves can tilt.
