40"? I think I must have a different philosophy on monitors. I'm running a 23" (2048x1152) and a 21.5" (1080). The pixel pitch (size of the pixel) is tiny. I absolutely love the sharp picture, I can play without Anti-aliasing on at times. -

For the noise, I once used these quiet fans by arctic cooling. They are fixed not by regular screws but a soft plastic locking mechanism. They still work nice, not expensive too. That's the new Wacom menu associated with that new round button on the black 21ux. It's set by default to photoshop shortcuts, but it's kinda useless really. -

Very nice program with a bunch of very useful features! Painting itself is a blast. Blending options are wonderful. But unfortunately not reliable on my system.
