My one critique is the AO seems a bit harsh. I don't work in the current/next gen style so I typically hesitate to give any advice on it but I tend to tint my AO with a gradient map adjustment layer.
That's prob not gonna happen. It MIGHT happen to some degree in next gen pipelines but even for character texturing, I can't see substance replacing photoshop for texturing skin. And one place it will NEVER replace photoshop is handpainted texture studios IMO.
that model is from the mobile title real racing, for somthing like that it could be around the 3-5k region per asset but if youre looking for forza/next-gen quality it could run you 6-9k depending on the artist and his qualifications.
Performance in the game is really poor on PC. It's clearly a past-gen game with a lot of low-res assets everywhere. It looks worse than Far Cry 3 or 4 and runs significantly worse too. A shame, really, because it's pretty fun.
How's that? Nvidia and Intel have both released hardware so powerful and efficient that the upcoming generation of laptops will outperform current high-end desktops (GTX 980 gen), without costing you your soul or immolating itself under load.
the graphic is next-gen, the models are decent, the animations are even better, however the gameplay (from what I see in the actual gameplay footage) is atrocious, dumb down boring and repetitive, feels more like a tech demo than a real game.
I'm not totally sure, but I would have given all the round corners etc. one more itteration. At the moment it looks really "last gen". Also the plastic texture could use a little more definition (a little more shiny).
Thank you very much, I try to use the decimation master. The only thing left is the texturesize for a current Gen char. Has somebody a recommendation? The must sources Contradict themselves a bit. :D But again Thank you very much.
Planning, for the first time to do proper legit planar hair. Ive done it in the past with varying results, but want to make these characters im doing look realistic next gen. Will definately sculpt in some stubble as a backing to the planar beard too
Remember to always use more polies where needed, your car currently looks too lumpy. Don't be afraid to use more polies, vehicles in current gen games are around 15K to 30K a piece, that's a lot of polies to play around with.
