that link won't help you anyway - the thing getting fixed was superceded by other engine changes. from memory I don't think you can set the priority/order on a per material basis so you're gonna want to split this into separate meshes or modify your decal sheet. I cant help but feel this has something to do with Live and how Microsoft deals with updated content/ downloadable content. We havent yet seen updates to the console versions of the Orange box did we? I think part of it is that Microsoft would want to charge for these updates and Valve would probably want to avoid screwing… -

how to use displacement for bricks
hi I've created a tileable brick wall texture and I want to use displacement to make the bricks stand out. I'm curious about how to manage this without splitting the mesh edges?
