I've got this object in 3D Coat and it renders thusly there: and wires: but when I bring it into Toolbag (with all maps) it doesn't smooth correctly. There are serious smoothing artifacts. Is there a way to set the smoothing angle in Toolbag or is there some other way I can fix this? TIA.
I was thinking that it would be cool to create an armor set for a new job in Bravely Default. Problem is, I have no idea what their poly limit is. Any thoughts?

The only issue I see with this method are little polygonal diamond shapes where the metal arcs are damaged: either it's the contrasting color in vertex color, or sharp edges, or both, but they look a bit too sharp.
