Dont be sad. Where i live you spend 8.5 dollars on a normal shitty beer and up to 14 dollar for a kilkenny in a bar. Im gonna get wasted 24/7 whenever i move to a cheaper place.
trying to get better at normal mapping. Just a flashlight model, no texture. screens taken from ue3 and maya 8.5 edit: should be 490tris. I could cut alot, but didnt bother with it cause its so low
I don't know if anyone has linked this, it's kind of old but it's pretty awesome and relevant: http://www.gamecareerguide.com/features/854/the_aesthetics_of_unique_video_.php?page=1
Hmm.. the Bamboo Fun Medium 5.4" x 8.5" is $200 and the Intuos 6" x 9" is $400. Basically the same size - so is the Bamboo really half the quality of the Intuos? Will the quality difference be noticable - jittery mouse and stuff like that?
8.5 erring on the unusually tall/small headed side. 7.5-8 is closer to the average height for an adult male. You definitely need to grab yourself some good anatomical reference, 02jDavies. Loomis is pretty solid starting point.
copying ,scripts, shelfs, hotkeys and marking menus -should- just be a matter of copying over the right folder from your mydocs/maya/8.5/ folder to the machine you're using. Edit - prefs folder holds the hotkeys in a mel file
I've tried to get the toolbag to work with Maya 8.5 but with no luck. I can see it the plug-in list but cannot check it to loaded. Anyone else have this problem. (tried all .mll versions 7,8,9 nothing will load). Any id
it sucks how you can't seem to buy older versions of max and maya. Maya 8.5 would be just fine for indie setups, and theoretically much cheaper.. but no
Per you reminded me of this recent documentary on guys and their Real Dolls. http://www.bbcamerica.com/content/245/index.jsp It's like so creepy but yet so true.
