Disclamer: I am newb and i was just exploring the difference between hard edges and support loops when it comes to smoothing groups from all of the tutorials I have seen everybody's advice is "Use different smoothing groups on creases or edges for better baking results" I have done some tests and I like the support loops…
@musashidan & @ZacD Thanks for your time. I believe that adding an extra loop is actually my case. I got rid of one extra loop. It looked great But only at that angle... From this one, because of the averaged normals in that area, it looks like this I didn't know that we can use face weighted normals for a high to low…
The image I'm referencing doesn't have much subsurface scattering, but I'm only vaguely referencing it to begin with haha. I painted in a bit of saturation along the shadows and it looks pretty good! Maybe a bit intense, but I can tweak it later. I appreciate the feedback
Love the response, yeah on the stuff i work (too long on) i wouldn't know what to do if anyone asked either, just a heads up it happen once. Perhaps going off of saved files time-frames might help with this stuff? Otherwise no worries i was just seeking options. looking forward to your next posted work.
Hello everybody, I'm modifying a script I've used in the past and am running into issues. The goal is to have a for loop that creates a StingrayPBS shader, then checks the "Use Color Map" attribute. Hey, looks pretty good: One of the tools listed is 'Gigapixel AI' so I don't know how much of this is actually your work. I see you intend to add breakdown/process shots, so that's good. I recommend doing an image showing it tiled. Lots of photogrammetry based materials look amazing until they start repeating. You've also…
I'm making a wierd shaped object, planning on taking it into mudbox so it's gotta be set up properly for high poly work. It's an axe-head. Right now it's just a plane but I plan on extruding this shape to create what I need. But I'm having difficulty modeling it in quads. I've started with a plane and dropped down some…
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to discuss a highly technical topic today. It's about the incredibly realistic animations in the upcoming game ILL. I don’t know how many of you have seen the trailer recently, but the way the creatures look like they have actual fleshy skin and their natural posing really caught my eye.…
