Some good ref there cheers guys, i'm using a ref of a 1928 atm which actually doesn't have that slanted face before the narrowing, but i might actually put it in there since i think it looks better. Might just start a wip to avoid cluttering the thread with all the feedback on it :D
wipping along on this dude got lazy and made a turntable! RazorB digging the vikings style :) Polygonbutcher: The models dont look bad but the faces definatly need improvement. Male one is looking better, post some sideviews so we can see the forms better. ebag, chadabees sweet work.
just a little teaser of my current project, that I made for my website. I'm gonna start a WiP thread once I actually have some nice wip shots to show=) attattattack, yeah, dude, I think a little less contrast on the wrinkles would do good. And I think you should actually work the spec map If you have one. Right now the…
@gav looks nice, very dynamic and full of emotion. i understand its a wip. I think the folds of the pants could be placed more thoughtfully. right now it looks like they are mostly some quick brush strokes all more or less in the same directions. There should be more variety i think.
Working on a remake of the bathroom from the "Facility" map in Goldeneye. It's for one of my five classes, so I don't have the time that I would like to put into it, but I'm hoping someday I can do the whole map. All the textures except for the walls are a WIP. Also going to add more props.
Here is a Lamborghini Reventon that I built for as class about 6 months ago. It's now an active WIP. I would like to go back in (with the knowledge that i have now), and rework it. This is the preliminary high poly sheet, which is where I will begin the rework. So, any critiques would be very helpful.
kite, you are seriously just too awesome... I was looking through your stuff recently and i wanted to ask what kind of matcap/settings you use that your every piece, no matter if it is cartoonish or realistic looks so smooth and yet details are clearly visible? A wip of a guy form me:
Neox: I'm very curious on how you did that hair block in. Is it just done with regular planes and tweaked to liking? are they done in zbrush? Mind that I am learning how to 3d modeling, and hair is giving me quite a bit of trouble. Thanks for any input. Heres a picture for the talk. WIP... -Frank
Playing with some WIP textures and Xoliul's shader. I've never used it before, so I'm quickly learning why it's so popular. I need to find a better solution for the hair, because it's becoming obvious that alpha planes aren't going to cut the mustard. I guess something with more style is in order.
sweet vespa. Sigh, working on this head again, after not looking at it for a couple of week's ive decided i'm really not happy with the final render. Rerendering and re working most parts. Got some proper reflections going on in the eyes now which i'm pleased with. Heres a nice desaturated emo shot to hide the wip bits :D
