Hello guys, I am working on this part. But even after trying different ways I am not able to make it right. Please help me on this part. I want to remove these strech lines from my mesh. I want to create this part in one mesh.
Yes, you are right, it was done with a knife tool. I didn't care much about topology, for sure it can be done better. It's just to illustrate how adding control loops can tighten up geometry when used with a subdivision surface modifier.
How do i go about modeling this curve on the door? My attempt I've tried a few times but still cant get it quite right. What is also quite a challenge is how at the top the curve sort of fades out and reappears again.
Howdy guys! Currently working on modeling a stylized hand in Maya, and I ran into a bit of a hitch here at the side of the knuckle. As you can see there's some pinching along the sides. Can someone throw me in the right direction? Thanks in advance! guys!
thanks, Specter. Yes, you're right, I think it will be fine for rendering. Also thank you for spending so much of your time to help me out and provide the step by step picture, I really appreciate that! viele Grüße aus Hamburg-
Calabi: Thnx, this funtion is in 3dsmax too, in the loop tools. however it only works on fully closed loops so its no ideal sadly:( jocose: Not what i wanted to hear you are right:( iam dreaming of the quick trick:) Hopefully someone have it.
No, you were letting the loop go down the entire length, run it off into another vert right outside the box, end it early so it doesn't run all the way down. you want it to merge into the edges that are existing defining the cylindrical shape.
Glad it was easy for someone! :D That did the trick thank you. That shape gave me trouble on the Leica as well and I just pushed verts til it blended w/o notice. But it's nice to know the right way to do it and plan for it in the future.
hey brick top you when doing a triangle such as this you almost will always have to do some type of sudo quad thats more of a triangle but its not nessecarily a bad thing as long as you place the vert in the right spots. Hope this helps.
Hey guys, just a quick one. I'm trying to add a minor light to the bumper of this car, but I don't feel like this is the right way to implement it into the mesh. Any tips on how I could make this come better into the mesh? Ref picture:
