Yeah that movie gave an odd impression for sure but I am talking more about art style the games pretended to be "photo real" starts to give you. Certain detail fatigue you eyes are getting . I blame too much of procedural approach and increased sampling in PBR shaders. Few years ago the shaders looked like what Substance…
she looks fantastic, I would love to see her in a harsher lit environment like near a campfire at night in the snow with half her face hit by the firelight.
Adding a little bit to the bottom of the artstation page about your testing / investigation into the dithered clip would make your portfolio a bit more interesting than most.
[WIP ] #2 Sculpting Details in ZBrush, Retopology and Baking Hi again, I'm back with some updates. I had my family over so I couldn't post anything earlier but I'm back at it again! Here's where I stand with the project. Before I fully committed to sculpting everything I went back to Maya and refined the model to have it…
the divot at the top of the lip is too narrow, and the top lip is a bit too thin, move the opening of the mouth down about a third of the lower lip and it should make things look closer. also the delts in the photo ref are lower and wider than what you have here. pretty damn nice start tho, just little things to tweak here…

Still working on it. Been a busy month had to put it on a side for a bit, but will have much more time now, so should wrap it up soon. All the props and materials are pretty much in place (missing some debris and some decals) now its mostly only polish and lighting that is left. Also, were learning a bit of foliage…
