in the User CP, "Edit Profile Picture" changes your picture the displays on your profile page, while "Edit Avatar" is your picture that appears in the forums they're seperate things basically
Select your LP meshes together, apply a edit poly modifier, to the selection, adjust your uvw so no over lapping, bake, then delete the edit poly modifier off the stake.
False! Alt H will hide selected sub-object selections. As for your scroll wheel problem... installed any scripts recently? Edit Edit wasn't needed, I failed to read.
3DO only supports triangulated meshes while yours is quad. If you use 3Ds Max a quick fix can be to convert your mesh to editable patch and then back to editable poly.
does the regular version of photoshop in cs3 and cs 4 have these problems? It might be that the extended editions are too bloated now that it does 3d, yeah right, and all video editing stuff.
leave "Edit" mode, go to "Scale" mode (there's edit, transform, rotate, scale - should be in the top bar somewhere) - then you'll get a gizmo you can scale by dragging a particular axis.

im wondering, what is being plugged into the A<B node? (EDIT:) i downloaded the package and saw the madness. that answers that. to actually have that display though, do i have to edit the ini?
Well, clicking a button (I think it was unify?) with the Edit Normals modifier and this local change certainly did something... Edit: Hrm, this works without my change. Interesting.
