Hello Maya Friends! After a few years of working at various AAA companies, I have built up quite an archive of Maya Animation, Rigging and Modelling tools that have helped myself and my teams tremendously in our day-to-day work. I have decided to give this archive away For Free! After I realized I would have loved to have…
Hi I just wanna show my attempt on likeness. Done in Zbrush, Substance 3d Painter, Blender and Marmoset Toolbag. The work took about a month after work, I made tons of mistakes, but learned a lot :) Any comments welcome :) https://youtu.be/ecOuYNG3I0I?si=hshk97HhuJHSJl3O
Børglar is an ex-scandinavian, ex-bodybuilder, multimillionaire who just found out that his ancestors were Vikings. Vikings you say? Not just regular Vikings, but the greatest Vikings of all. It's either that or they were a couple of farmers, but 'Vikings' sounds cooler doesn't it? Now because of this recent discovery he…
I didn't look at the assets, but they probably simply painted over renderings of them to make them better readable. If we assume the models haven't changed during development (which could easily be the case, though) then some of the details are simplified or bigger or even translated. If those are the original icons, then…
Hm, when I dropped the lowpoly mesh into Blender to inspect the UVs unfortunately look broken: Looking at the lowpoly, I suggest: * Reduce amount of support loops, use as much as needed to get a good mesh shading. Put the saved geometry into the curvature of rounded/ cylindrical parts. The impact on the assets silhouette…
Congrats on finishing the project, like the dramatic presentation :+1: Looking closer, I think the character is a bit stuck between styles in terms of execution. Particularly the hair sticks out against the rest, perhaps a hair-card or strand approach would be more fitting? The materials are currently a bit too…
I'd learn how to either measure with an accurate to real life scale "human anatomy model", or learn how to work in real measurements, in the end you can "translate it after the fact", to whatever requirements are expected for the projects. Any environment artist or whomever knows is welcome to correct me but i feel this…
Ive been working on some Hammers for an armory scene for my college final. Yes, I rendered on white I know, I prefer it that way. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qzOK1p8ai4"]Hammer Of Nord[/ame]: The Hammer Of Nord has many legends surrounding its history but really Its just the hammer of a legendary Viking…
Nice job! What is the intended use of the model? Is it built for real-time use, as in a game? Or is it built with film effects in mind? If for realtime, I would recommend not using a Boolean for the front lower bolt hole, since that creates long thin triangles. It would be better to use a texture for a detail like this.
Man this brings back to a previous life! I had a look and I do still have the original files. Please see a link to the PDF here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GK9nx-brvsI_7uYpo9gwTMQLC7K2TVWx/view?usp=sharing Naturally I cannot promise the link will stay up, but it should do the trick for a little while longer. Please…
