Been lagging a bit on posting the upper floor, but here it is. Concept and then implementation. I thinned out the stairs for now, but I might throw together a ramp model and see how I feel about it. Hopefully will start posting more stuff from some of my other projects. Specifically a game I am working on called Spectral…
This a colour test - I need to fix allot of stuff on the diffuse and I've started to experiment with a spec map... which is fun and will be getting allot more work done on it! The robotic arms are also missing from the render, I havent got round to getting a decent normal map of them-yet the polycount is at 3092 although…
i tweaked the arms and made them considerably longer .. it's been a long time since i posted anything here.. last time i remember i was practicing with modelling organics and posted a head wip .. someone responded that it looked like something from I robot i have improved myself since then anyway here are a few things i've…
The walk cycle needs some work. He's too fast, the toes on the passing position should dip down for a more fluid feel and his leg work is actually quite robotic to me. I do like the swaying of the head and the movement of the staff though. I'm an aspiring animator so don't really take my comments all too seriously. =]…
when are argument about how awesome dj's are (can be) is based of the example of Tiesto - then the argument is already null and void. Art is a great thing...check out this coloring book. Now I remember why I got sick of this stuff - everyones better than everyone - if you don't like the music you must be a moron. Or maybe…
Man_O_Mule: there was a terrific comicbook about a robotically 'improved' dog, cat and (I think) hamster, who all spoke in very simplistic english (basically lolspeak, really). It doesn't sound too good now, but I would love to be able to remember the title. I thought it was from the same writer as Y: the last man, but now…
You might want to rethink the robot nipples, also if you are going to do a skin tight suit u shouldn't sculpt it off of your base model, you should go in and actually model in all of that extra detail, that would fix the problem you are having with the massive wedgie she has. Other than that i'm liking the lines and suit…
I usually print my tests out on standard a4 paper and mail them it. Everything hand written to add that personal touch, so they know I'm not a robot or something. I'm paranoid like that. I don't normally get a reply. Hope this helps! Congrats dude and good luck. Oh make sure your wearing a smart suit for the phone…
I've posted a couple rigs I made over in The Great 3D Game Art Giveaway Thread but I thought I'd share them here as well. Lu The Tiger Robot Engineer Also, if anyone has models they would like rigged feel free to send me a message. I'm always looking to get more practice in rigging, either in Max or Maya.
/// Quick Concept of the Spiderbot Enemy /// Wireframe: I also did a slap rig to try some poses, this character will be entirely procedurally animated ... zero keyframes (yay lead engineer with robotics knowledge! :D ) This also allows us to make them extremely physics responsive, so you can shoot them and the wobble…
