I understand that you are not doing an exact copy of your ref but i think you should use other refs for buildings especially. Working off memory and imagination isnt bad in any way, but i feel that the buildings dont have any real life correlation and look very fantasy like, just my 2 cents... -

Eh, similar looks, totally different feels. CodeHunters reminds me more of Trigun with brown cell shading-ness with some Fantasy but not quite Final in there.. After the bus intro, the two really do not match much at all. Setting, I dunno... CodeHunters seemed more post-apoc whereas Borderlands is run-down corporate hell. -

Well I will admit, I do enjoy some realism every now and then. They will never kill fantasy though. I think this realism kick is just the current fad, just like the uprising of zombie games. Nothing will ever take me away from my Oblivion, I don't care how real things get :P. -

Yeah, really awesome, everyhting looks so... perfect. Even maybe too perfect, everything looks clean and new, could be cool to do some worn parts. For the proportions, "real" dwarfs and classical fantasy dwarfs are not the same, and yours don't look like anyone of them, but it' not a problem. At least they look better than… -

Its settled! Fantasy Exterior it is. I know I havn't been as active as I wanted to be, but that has been mostly due to being swamped at work, including weekends. Things should settle back down to normal in a bit, but Ill start a new thread with some REALLY basic pictures, so we can get this puppy rolling!
