The goblin was intended to seem childish. The zombie is not supposed to be childish, but does have extended arms and neck (so it can swipe at and bite the player more easily) I'll post some clips of gameplay when the animations are finished. In the meantime...
Thanks for the comments guys, and thanks Jaydon for the pledge. I ended up getting extremely sick and spent Tuesday/Wednesday at the hospital. I'm all better now and intend on starting that concept art now. Keep the ideas rolling in!
Some pics of my first in-game rocks, It was intended to be just a block-in rock, but I placed so many I think it might be more of a permanent fixture. I love rocks too man, more to come for sure.
I intend on making it a bit smaller than the original weapon, so it kinda looks like an oversized broken dagger. Not quite done sculpting yet, so here's the original base mesh along with PA's original weapon:
Never played it, but I've watched playthroughs of all of Season 1 and I intend to watch the finale of Season 2 this weekend, so hyped! It really is a great powerful story. I recommend it, even though I've never played it!
one of the cool things about this to me is how you can't create a pose that's off-balance (well, unless you propped it up and you intended to) so stances and stuff like that will always have the right center of balance
Slow and steady, probably won't finish this within the month but I intend on finishing it at some point. Two low poly assets baked. Spent time making sure there were minimal errors, good learning step for me.
really nice work! how much "by hand" are they? no pun intended :P what I mean is, did you color pick from the photos or used them as a base of your paintings or is it all free hand from scratch?
Great work man! One question: Is the video intended to be part of a demo reel? If so, you might want to tweak your camera animations. They're a bit "floaty." But if it was just to show it off don't worry about it, obviously.
Awesomeness. For a game made in 48 hours its bloody good man. I was hoping more of the objects would have other puzzle uses, but I expect that's what you intended if you had more time...right?
