Houdini has it's own scripting language. And several different modes of processing data. It has way more depth than substance designer. But it's designed as a general purpose 3d tool unlike substance which has a focus on texturing.
Hi there! I've made a Next-Gen Tech Name Generator so we're now all next-gen ready! :) http://level-design.org/nextgen_generator/ If you have any words to add to the script, let me know!

Hi, Does anyone know how to query Maya if normals are locked? The manual way to do it is go to display/polygons/vert normals and it will display yellow lines if the normals are locked. But is there a way to do this trough scripting? Preferably with Pymel or OpenMaya.
I wonder is there a plugin/script or build in tool in Maya that I could use to set camera perspective to match a concept art, so I could get dimensions right? (there is something like in 3ds max)
I use this script called Vertex Cleaner by Shiva3D. Usually after shape merging on a mesh, it leaves behind lot of unconnected/parasite verts. This works best to clean those stuff. Check it out.
Oh by the way, I found this, might do what you want, and do it better! http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/save-your-time-ultimate-skin-solution-with-2-spinners-skin
xXm0RpH3usXx, No! Not at all! The original nDo script is still free for commercial use. I will never break that promise. That is what I meant. I'm so sorry if I mislead you, that was never my intention! :(
Not a maxscript person but wouldn't you just have to grow the selection then convert from verts to edges? So you select a vertex, then the script adds the first set of connected verts to the selection and converts that to edges.
Trying to find documentation somewhere on the Filter Types now, to see if them mimic a min function. Thanks, all! :) If worst comes to worst, I can script it. I was just hoping to avoid that, lol.
