True, some added vertex normals tools would be awesome with it, using default geo like a sphere or something. Similair to NormalThief.

Be careful with that perspective in your concept. It is a lot more extreme then what you will find in UDK or any default camera in a 3D package.

Looks like you have multiple GPUs and may need to set the Geforce instead of the Intel one as the default ( for Mari at least ).

I've had that happen too... no idea exactly why. It appears to be a form of gimbal lock, but that's not supposed to happen with the default TCB controllers.

Isn't it like that by default? I'm fairly sure I've not done anything to it. I'm running 10.5 in case you are on an earlier OS.

I have this on maya with the default cone primitive: Maybe you can try unlit shader or emissive to avoid the black shade.

Unless it's max2012 in which case turning them off doesnt work properly. The default shortcut is J if I remember rightly

The BIOS has resetted for sure. Floppy drives are often enabled on default settings so be sure to check the BIOS settings out.

Just use the default bucket renderer for vertex colour maps, I don't think optix ever supported that map type.
