I've always enjoyed the talks that dove into some of the tech behind the art. Not necessarily the programming, but the ones like, "hey we have this new feature and this is how we used it." Ready At Dawn's talks for The Order from Siggraph and GDC were right up my alley.

I believe when he is talking about pinching he is talking about the red areas. In green I think you should make these much deeper to fit with the reference. The handle on the reference image is also very flat while yours seems fairly curved.
It was good to meet you guys! I wish I had had more time to talk with some of the polycounters I met only met briefly, but its always hard to juggle meeting new people with talking to old friends you haven't seen in awhile.
I haven't seen it yet, I'm really excited to go see it. The one part I cringe at, is the talking doberman, I hope its voice isn't like that through the whole movie and if it is, I hope it doesn't do a lot of talking. The rest of it looks amazing.
Thanks for the replies people. I do get more energetic as the game goes on. I get better at talking as I go on. I'm not really used to talking and gaming especially when I'm alone but I'm getting used to it. Plus I'm normally a quiet person.
agreed. Last time I talked to the guys at protodemon they'd found a method to essentially double the resolution of their prints, so we're talking very, very fine detail. Anyway, yeah, great company, can't say enough good things about them. -K.
