The scale of things is not clear so it makes the moss look like bushes or other tall vegetation. You could add a cone or something to get a better sense of scale. Very interesting stuff, nonetheless, i am also looking into houdini. Could you go into more detail about the setup, specifically what drives the moss spawning?
As somebody who is neurotic about coaster usage and has a tendency to have a complete meltdown when people don't use them, I fully appreciate the attention given to the stains on the end table/dresser. You don't need to enable/disable movement and stuff, and you don't need to attach the pawn. The simple solution is to not use matinee for the boat movement. Use a timeline instead.
