Go with the 5870 instead, and get a second drive or an external backup solution. RAID0 is all asscheeks and tits until it shits all over itself and you lose your hard work. In regard to functionality, id dont think there will be much between the 2 applications but isn't Bodypaint $1000? If this is really going to be 500 then that is some really stiff competition right there, which is great for consumers. :) Though you can have 32k maps, it doesn't mean you have to use them...it would work… -

I see a lot of straight lines too, but then I see a few areas that could benefit from an irregular shape. Things like the wooden dock and along the roof lines. 20k is fairly low for this kind of vehicle. It'd be fine for a taxi or what not, or maybe LOD1 or soemthing. For reference the Formula Masters cars in Race07 are ~28k and the F1 games from Codies are just above 30k. Normal maps aren't something I'd be using - they're for per-pixel changes in normals.
