Wow any ones eyes open yet? suggest taking a quick look at that link if you haven't short read. Matt yea speculation has been made but you can pretty much ball park a decent figure yourself, for whatever reason a few months back i estimated how much a small college would make and boy'o'boy was i shocked. I think it is good…
Hey there, It’s been a while since our last release. But now we are back at the track. Here comes the first alpha release for Bforartists 2. This Bforartists 2 alpha 0.1.0 release is the first release in the Bforartists 2 development cycle. Many thanks to the team. The binary downloads can as usual also be found in the…
This is what i get: Units work in conjunction with the export scale. At scale 1 (default) , when hitting unify, zbrush resize the model so it fits 2 units. We'll consider the unify size is optimal for zbrush tools. Sample characters are at 8 units, so let's consider, something between 1 to 10 units is still a decent size…
Thank Kris (Obscura) for this insight! You're a genius! Things are looking much improved. I redid the light maps for the test tube as I completely forgot I had overlapping uvs. Woops! I also needed to fix the texel density between uv shells. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. Then I bumped up the light map res…
Well it also depends on what you want to use it for. If it's just for online photos, the 20d is more camera than you'll ever need. If you're actually doing print, you'd need to be wanting to do larger than 8x10 inch prints to need higher resolution. The nice thing with the 20d, is larger and brighter viewfinder that uses a…
Thanks for the critique. I'm pretty much set in on a project at work for a good long haul before I can show anything, so I am actually in the process of working on some new stuff to fill out my personal portfolio. I've got some decent stuff, but my skills have greatly improved and I think I can definitely fill in some of…
Hi, I'm a game artist and I'm in the process of making a large table that has a lot of sculpted detail. I just finished the sculpt in ZBrush and I'm now UVing it. The shells do not have enough texel density if I map them to a 2k map so I was going to just cave and use a 4k instead. However, I've been watching some videos…
In your first example you could always texture it in a 1:2 scale instead of 1:1. Just general 1/6 custom figures. I have made some of my own custom weapons in 1/6(But only using my own model skills, lol. Not the magic you are doing). It would be handy to have some nice custom weapons available from shapeways in 1/6. Here are some of my own meagre works(I hope you don't mind me posting them):
As far as killing mirroring problems all i do is take half of my LP where I will be doing a mirror after it is unwrapped and set the w to 1 in the edit uvw window. Then set the uv's that have a W of 1 out of the square. After that you generate your NM. Once that is done all you need to do is delete the side of the object…
