Are you baking with a cage in max? make sure you are using averaged mesh normals and not explicit. The best way to do this though is to split all of the UV's where you have a 45 degree angle and then use textools a free max tool to assign different smoothing groups to each uv island. I think if you attempt to bake reflection occlusion into a single map you won't get good results, because like specular it is view-angle dependent. I think this is because sometimes when planar mapping, the W value gets shot off to a crazy amount which makes it unselectable because it's so "far away" (even though it looks fine in UV view). You might be able to fix it by re-mapping the offending polygon, or it might be worth trying to change your view from UV to VW or… -

Sorry, I didn't realize it was non-functional. In my defense I did read his post, it doesn't specifically mention the site is a template or doesn't work. I think the layout works, its simple and not overbearing, how you present your pieces that is the important thing and i think the thumbnails will be an easy way to view… -
