probably best to get the new drivers too. The new driver supports all the tablets in one neat package, lets you hot swap tablets and so on. I'm guessing the optimal resolution for your monitor and card should be in place before screaming murder at the Wacom. Obviously the newer ones are better, so intuos3 owners are… -

As samnwck said, having a lower resolution hightmap will give you less details to work with. By the looks of it you're also using the 'cube' primitive, as opposed to the 'rounded cube' shown in the first example. The rounded cube mesh already has more geometry in it, so when tessellating you get a much higher resolution… -

I used Ryan's source textures to make the Rod Green normalmap in Photoshop. The other three normalmaps are Ryan's results. Took it out for a spin on Tuesday night. The controls are tight, good scripting and it works well. You may want to make the car "heavier" as a function of velocity, as that would account for the ground effects "negative lift" shape . I love the way it handles in high speed that with a good 90 degree turn, it will swap ends… -

There's a number of ways to explain it's hovering. Easiest way to determin it is simply to think about what time period your talking, and/or it's culter (the ones who created it). You generally can make it float by magic provided it's obvious magic. I would say, those nossles would look good with some sort of ripple… -
