Yeah i understand, you can already paint directly on a mask, but it will dissapear if you enter dynamask after that, so its not yet non destructive. But it can be done in a pinch, better functionality for this is coming soon!
Try Gheromo´s tip! As for the seam terminator it terminates seams for maskes created in the Dynamask editor. So if there is a seam in the UV that is very visible before going in to DDO the seam terminator unfortunately won´t save you.
It's not the viewport fps, but when applying materials and entering Dynamask. The program just takes ages to load. I put my shared directory on a more full drive (one with a a couple hundred gigs on it). Would that be the reason? Should I put the project to the main SSD?
That definitely makes sense to me! Thanks for the info Micky, so as I understood it it's like a combination of what makes this Blue paint look like actually paint on a metal and also helping in dynamask editor to tweak the mask by it's texture. Thanks!!!
I also recommend watching this perfect overview video, it explains pretty much every single important part of working with DDO, including usage of material hierarchy and the dynamask editor. [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A7Pq8bY3SM[/ame]
I think he means within DDO. As far as i know there is no way to do exactly this. The closest thing you have is importing your own masks and placing them around in dynamask editor, but they need to be black/white.
Hi! For seam termination to take effect you need to enable it when creating your project, the fact that the sliders as visible in Dynamask even when they dont have any effect is a bug, thank you for bringing this to our attention!
It's basically hard light blending mode for DynaMask painting. The middle value 50% gray should actually clear the paint up like an eraser as you see in your examples. Gradual values should linearly interpolate towards black or white.
What you could try: Duplicate the layer giving you a seamed appearance Set the scale up or down one level in dDo Enter DynaMask, paint in randomly or as-needed to minimize the appearance of seams Let me know if that helps!
Yes I am using the import gungemask button in dynamask and i am trying to import one of the ones that is included in the suite. when i click open to import it everything freezes....except for 3DO. It was a cracked paint tiling mask.
