You'll need to think about your lighting later on, look at examples of game lighting, films etc. It's good for a work-in-progress but not a subject to tread on lightly (pun not intended :P) as it can take time to achieve great quality of lighting.
If you're intending for game-specs then you should fake these holes by normal maps or alpha maps. Small details like these tiny holes does not justify the polygon count used on them. @WilliamVaughan Cool beans. Is it possible to bake them?
Excellent info, Racer and Xoliul! Thanks much. This actually isn't intended for guns, but melee type weapons (which I think would be easier to setup than guns, since there are fewer parts that would need to attach to each other).
If you're talking about art in shipping games, you can't go by that. Art is compromised all the time in the name of memory, performance, texture ram, etc. Until you see the original piece, as the artist intended it, you shouldn't judge.
Some characters I made for a school course. Always intended for them to be rendered from the front so details in the back weren't as important. There is a back story but it's not very important to know... Hope you like! 8) (ZBrush, Maya, Photoshop.)

Hey, thanks for the feedback. We intend to ship for iOS and Android first. So that pretty much sums most android phones/tablets, iPhones and iPads. Later on we will try PSP vita and Steam. No promesses ;) Maybe windows phone.
