I wish I could take any of the visual art classes when I was in highschool. Pity. Now I learn off the youtube and some what tutorials off the net because there isnt any visual art class that would teach the basics of things near my place. :(
Well, I was hoping this is not something I'd have to go and dive into in order to pull off right. I was thinking maybe there are good tools for this sort of thing. But the more I try, the more I realize this is some serious stuff to pull off... Still hoping for an easy way out though. :)
I think I'd lay off the grime a bit. Since the gun texture gets worn off in the engine, you'd have gun wear with gun where graphic. Just might be a little too much. Nice design though, I feel like it meshes SW and Alien well.
Ah, sorry about the fringe. It's something I turn on when I'm messing with post processing, then forget to turn off when I'm taking screenshots. It's the sort of effect that looks a lot better in motion than in a screenshot, especially a compressed one. I'll turn it off for all the shots in the future.
.. the people who were laid off are still laid off....they are just saying that the people they did keep are no longer Gazillion servitors...but are in the full employ of Lego eidt: and that is just for the people that were working on the LU project I believe...it seems Gazillion is moving my old team to a new office
I would find a new project... especially if you want to put this in your portfolio. You are basically recreating the scene almost 1 to 1 based off of another artist's interpretation of the concept. It is not quite plagiarism, but it is some sketchy territory that employers could be turned off by. Just a friendly warning.
Because Pictures aren't enough to show off what I'm trying to do, here's a video of my level (Still pretty rough though). The area I'm showing off is just the underground part, so there'll be a lot cooler POIs than this one in the future https://vimeo.com/44964833
well think about it, if you turn off shadows then how exactly do you imagine the light obstruction to look like ? shadows are the only representation of light occlusion. light will go through everything with shadows turned off. that is how it always ha been in Maya if i am not mistaken.
Yeah what Panda said. First thing I noticed was that the horn needs to be distinguished from the body. Also, I feel like you are missing a little bit of the skull shape. The forehead area and under the ears is off a bit, but I can't figure out why right off.
Tiny Warrior of might and valor fight for us! you tiny 2 legged fiercest warrior. -but looks good if your going for a blizzard style don't work off 2d pixel art. most blizzard stuff is in the textures so i would work off reference that has those
