K, just clicking on the mask and hitting done wasn't enough, I also had to select the blank option inside dynamask. That seems to fix it. Thanks for the help.
Hello! The "default damage" material is a mask, and not meant as a material. Everything under the "masking patterns" category have only an albedo input and are meant to use with Dynamask :) .
Open DynaMask on your folder or layer, then open the Material IDs rollout. Click the Links button. CTRL+LMB each masked area you'd like to add to your current mask.
So long as you click Paint Mask in Photoshop, you should be fine. Otherwise your paint edits will be overwritten to the values in DynaMask the next time you edit the mask.
Hey guys, I'm really really new to Quixel, This seams really weird that I can't paint out a seam in the dynamask painter. It occurs along the seams of the UVs but try as I might that white line never goes away.
Hi, i just bought suite 2, but whenever i create a smart material and click enter dynamask it crashes with this error i can't see what i'm doing wrong? also is there any tutorials to walk one through the interface?
To me that looks like one of the layers of your smart material. I would go into it, and systematicall turn off each layer utill you find the one that is doing that, then when you do 'tweak' the dynamask for it. :)
This indeed very odd! Is it in the same project as well or did you create a new project when this happend? is the seam termination activated? if so, in the dynamask editor make sure that the Seam-termination slider is all the way down!
Thanks Justinnd for the question! If you right-click the mask you will launch the Color ID module. It can also be accessed from within the Dynamask editor by clicking "Links..." under the "Material ID" panel. - Teddy
