WIP 03 Greyscale rendering of the final concept in progress. Taking a LOT of confidence and inspiration from The Witcher with their reference to medeival western europe armory and garb. Thoughts?
+1 It looks scarily like the source material :) but I'd like to see what it would look like with some lighting and shadows akin to Witcher 3 or something
i love this character, but i think he looked better in earlier renders than that last one. he makes me think of the witcher which is a good thing! really cool design and sculpt
This really has a Witcher feel and I love it! Seems that you worked out the lighting too. I'm very interested in UE4 and I was wondering how long did it take you to make the village?
Dunno. It's looks pretty past gen to me ;p. At least compared to Dragon Age: Inquisition or Witcher 3. That being said, that trailer convinced me, that I'm not interested.
This might be true to some extent but it's one of those phrases that everyone seems to throw around on this topic. The Witcher 2 is a great game but people still pirate the crap out of it.
Agreed with the others, variation in the wood material via, different materials/vertex painting/decals/whatever would be good. Otherwise nice work, reminds me of The Witcher 3.
+ 1 for The Witcher. Good story, well-written dialogue and nice graphics but very linear compared to other RPG's. Also a little light on loot, if you're into that sorta thing.
Thank you guys for the feedback. But I do prefer the warmer colors. I'm trying to match the atmosphere of the Witcher since I plan on applying to CD Projekt Red and think that matches that atmosphere a little more.
