mickyg, i wrote a crease brush for Blenders sculpt tools - it is just pinch+draw, so by adjusting those settings on your draw or pinch brush you should be able to get the equivalent in ZBrush.
another method that works if the edge rings are of equal width is to ctrl + middle mouse on add edge loop to bisect the edge rings 50%, then bevel components on this new loop to pinch/slide them as needed. though with non uniform width edge ring this will give poor results because the pinch is % based.
Thanks Xoliul. I've tried your suggestion but I'm still experiencing the pinch when smoothed. Is it due to the surface not being planar? ie because its a curved 'hood' then its harder to align the verts to avoid the pinch?
I think it'll help you out a lot if the UVs weren't pinched together. You'll have a much easier time seeing what the face is doing in your texture if things weren't so pinched together.
Cool to see another p22 :) Looking great so far. And good technical modeling, Especially on the saftey cutout on the slide. Having done this gun, I know that was a bitch :D Assuming you didn't use floats ;) All my 2 cents for what they may be worth. 1. Edge consistency is a bit strange on this piece. The fore sight has…
Thanks man. I'm not sure what you wanna know specifically about the pants but it kinda went like this; Extract them from the sculpt and get a nice shape at a low subD level, work the overall shape up the levels so they have a good shape throughout and don't end up looking too blobby. Add some big folds and creases at lower…
Has Blender added proper pinch functionality into the latest release? Something like in 3DS where it applies the loops to the selected edges and you can change the quantity of loops and pinch factor along multiple edges at the same time. It really is much quicker than the edge-offset method you currently have to use in…
Very cool little birdy , mate ! It turns out grate so far, you've captured the concept perfectly ! Try using the pinch brush more , it is great tool ! The forms of the sculpt all read equally soft right now, maybe it will benefit if you pinch here and there and try to differentiate the beak material from the fleshhy parts.
step 1: Punch yourself in the nose as hard as you can untill you start bleeding. step 2: walk up to a wall, make sure you are between 6-8 inches from the wall. step 3: BLOW AS HARD AS YOU CAN! Stop picking your nose hooker. Looks good. I think they may need to be darker to be applied on a surface but i'm sure they'd look…
Hi guys, I'm trying to model the junction of the hood and bumper/wing of the car, but I can't make it without the pinching. I've tried making the supporting edges loop all around but it just pinches all around, even if I smooth it out. So if any of you has any idea on how to achieve this, just let me know! Thanks! :poly121:
