This is a zbrush sculpt I'm doing for my final in a my zbrush 2 class. It's still a wip, I'm still working on the color of the dragon, sculpting the wing membrane, the rock material, and I haven't moved the man past a zsphere skin yet. I'll be working on this all weekend, and I would love some feedback.
Oh, sorry, all the tutorials I did were on 3D Motive! Forgot to mention that. Really great stuff. And, yeah, I've only had nDo 2 for a few hours now and I've already made stuff that I would easily consider to be usable - all without ever starting up Max. :P
I was experimenting with some lazy and not so workflows =) 1: Scanned leaf. Then inflated and added a bit of sculpting in zbrush. Baked ao + cavity + normals from sculpted geo. Blurred original photo and added ao with cavity on top. 2: Scanned leaf genrated normals from photo original photo used as diffuse
I'm going to start doing little 1-2 day props to get better at texturing. Today I started off with a Japanese postbox. It took 11-12 hours from start to finish, with the texturing phase taking somewhere around 4-5 hours. It's still pretty lame looking, but I'm learning. 1060 tris.
making slow progress on the interiors of my London Corner House bonus link: interactive demo, flat nr. 3 is just the first with another wallpaper, will do that one tomorrow :) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/30477633/minicity/webplayer.html* * use "1","2" or "3" to switch between the flats, scrollwheel zooms in&out, click rotates…
@ afischer, nice dude - so great texturing ! @ Lextripper: really like it ! nice "lightning" @ garriola83: awesome shit, baked out very well.. sleep well ;) Great stuff everyone .. Still working on my wizzardy lvl 2 - tweaking lights and stuff.. After my work i can go on with my hardsurface stuff. .!
I put this together around 5 in the morning. So basicly i ran out of time for finishing touches and im not that exited about the outcome. I might render this again later, we shall see.. But hey, at least this inspired me to do some Trine 2 level-fanart when i have time!
Current layout of the scene. I got ~2 days left to work on this. (I don't have to finish it by that time, but I'd like to.) And yes, some of the modules hasn't been unwrapped completely. (Corners and windows.) And some texture work. (Very much work in progress!) Gonna see what it all looks like inside of UDK in a sec.
Working on a "little" robot : I started to record my process, still unfinished (part 4 is rendering, I will upload it later) : [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQnH46DgbSU"]Mecha - Part 1 - YouTube[/ame] Part 2 and 3 available here : http://www.youtube.com/user/froyokfr [EDIT] part 4 is available ! _0/
I'm an environment modeler so my anatomy isn't the best. I started ZBrush 2 days ago - previously I only used in the past on hard surface prop models for cracks and pores. This is my first sculpt WIP. She's still very low rez to ZB standards, haven't cranked it up a level yet..
