I Worked on the texture, its not final but its getting there I need to work out the spec map and a decent bump. I fine tooned the animation. I say tooned because I added some "humor" to the hand stuck animation. I might not keep the humor. I also started the environment, which is just blocked out as is the lighting.
jibowski, loving this little guy. really like the concept too, great style in your work. only real crits on the model would be that it would be cool to see a bit of an arc on the teeth rows, more like your concept, and som irregularity in the teeth angles and size. i like the thicker hands in your concept too. cool work.
JBoskma: I noticed the flat hands too, before I read Mop's post. Kind of disctracting. About the legs, I would try giving him real goat's legs and much bigger hooves. The tiny hooves don't seem like they can support his hugeness. But overall, it's got tons of personality and I really like it.
hmm i scaled up the hands a bit because i felt they were to small... i'll give it a closer look later and scale them back down maybe. The feet should be more or less correct looking at images (of statues), i'm guessing they had wider feet back in those time due the lack of shoes ruining your toes.
Trying to get hand on next gen models using Jistyles shader. (thx a lot for sharing it man)... It looks very diferent on this computer then on my work computer monitor, darker, with less color and less detail (hope u can see it well.. ) (BTW, anyone has a link for one of those monitor values fixing images? ) 3000 tris
Awesome work Ruz, for a moment I thought it was a 3d scan. The prominent nipples spoiled the illusion for me though That's looking great DH_, are you going to try and put it in UT3? Thanks for the comments about the base mesh, don't think I'll release it though, it's got some issues (hands, not enough density around the…
looking nice adam, but the re-inforcements to the concrete are looking on the thin side. I'm guessing they are some kind of cap to the posts, as I can see one rotated in the background. If so, make them a bit more meaty. Try to consider how they came to be like that. I'm not familiar with bombed out buildings first hand,…
Thanks Lord Scottish!. Moz - Yeah, that's the biggest grip I could find (from a spas 12 shotgun replica) and has the biggest trigger guard too - for those big power-armoured gloves. It sits big in your hand, but the rest of the thing is so freaking huge...If I had more space/time I'd make a wooden grip from scratch.
[ QUOTE ] Holy cow Rooster, you have no idea how similar that robot is to one in a short film I'm working on with some mates from school. I'll post a pic later when I get my hands on a render. [/ QUOTE ] Actually it looks quite a bit like those in the really nice RPG on the Dreamcast "EGG: Elemental Gimmick Gear".
Here of couple of low poly environments I put together this weekend. I have been trying to bulk up my website with low poly work such as these, since Im trying to break into that industry. I want to get into development for hand held systems like the DS or PSP so Im trying to keep the tris pretty low.
