Rmunday, your translate y arcs are off. They should look like rainbows side by side. Also, your translate X is off. If you have a key frame at eh start of the animation, and the end of the animation, on the translate x, you can delete all the other key frames inbetween, so that it has a linear line between the first and…
@ Steve congrats you made it to front page on Imgur. Was browsing and came across your animation... i was like hmmm ive seen this before =D. Awesome work man, such an epic battle. Here's the imgur link, dunno if you uploaded it but they credited you - http://imgur.com/gallery/KFWNVz8
@cainy: To embed Vimeo, you can place the links between these brackets- [v v][/v v] -No spaces between the V's. I had to hit the spacebar in order for it to show up as text ______ Lately, been thinking bout tackling a whole lot more animation, by hand, to help progress.
Good to see you again Stephen! I just finished the polish pass on my Axe anim posted earlier. Big swings!:poly122: Grand total ~3 hours! Had to wrestle with some gimbal issues. Also, the ghosting tool comes in really handy for dialing in your swing arcs.
So this is a little bit away from the point of this thread, since I took it to a bit more of a polished state, around 4 - 5 hrs. Having alot of fun with Beefheart here, thanks again Gav. Also, the attack animation above is dope. 0_0 https://vimeo.com/55658857?action=share
JDunay If I were making a character breath, i'd begin by creating a chest rig that would allow me to expand(scale up), rotate, and translate in an isolated movement from the head, neck and shoulders. This would just allow for simpler adjustments, if any changes were needed later on Brazz Nice sidestep animation…
This seems like the place to post it: A quick run down of some animator's issues on Naughty Dogs new title: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myZcUvU8YWc"]Judd Simantov on character rigging and modeling in Naughty Dog's The Last of Us - YouTube[/ame] (I just found it on Reddit and thought I'd share it)
@ StephenVyas When it comes to doing your animations do you work with layers as in say you have a walk cycle, have a layer for the feet, then the hips, arms then head? or if its a reasonable sized walk cycle (lets say 24 frames) do you find it easier to just have the one layer?
Teaching myself how to light&render properly, while playing around with a new rig. it was fun practicing with the kitchen broom- I felt like a NINJA! Thank god no one was around to see that tho ;-) @Hugh - so what have you discovered. Which way do you enjoy animating more?
This was far from "speedy", done over a few hours (while also compiling UE4 and UT again and a few other things), but it *is* animation. :) (weird hitch on the left side is an artifact of the video rather than the actual motion) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RM6L6qkB_z4"]Skaarj Run Pistol - YouTube[/ame]
