I couldn't do any better either, but I wonder if there's any special shader out there just for cones? Here's a really stupid "solution" with 20 faces though! ...but it also uses transparency and a normal map.
The dawn of war II gold edition is for 19,99 dollars, so 20 dollars. The european price is 28 euros. Prices are far higher for europeans, and it's unfair. I would like to know which is their excuse :D

Bake first pass. There are a few small errors I need to fix, and I can eek out about 20% more pixel density with another UV packing pass. Bonus: Low poly wires!
The film industry went through this about 20 years ago. Everyone wanted to go to film school. Any school with a film program was flooded with applications. At some schools the acceptance ration was like 100 to 1.

Disabling "Use Cached D3DXMeshes" increased my FPS to 20-30FPS depending on where I'm looking. Still have a high number of materials (higher than I originally thought) but this is way better. Thanks!
Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm sure they could have spared about 10-20 more triangles and made those knees look less stabby. Looks interesting though, I like the atmosphere.
