By comparison it looks like the MakerBot Replicator Mini has a resolution of 11 micron X and Y positioning accuracy with a 200 Micron layer resolution.. It also retails at $1375 - almost 5 times the cost of the micro. Disclaimer: I know nothing about 3D printers so probably have missed something significant here! -

A bit of an aside here; Mass Effect has really sparked my desire for a good space flight sim game. As near as I can tell, the last one was from about 5 years ago. Was thinking about trying the free trial of EVE Online, but looking for something a little more action-y. Any recommendations? -

Well I discovered if I put a mirror modifier ontop of the object above the skin, I can reflect it across the y axis and copy it. Looks exactly like I want when playing. The problem is that its actually just "looking" at the original skin and bone setup. So the copy has no bone structure itself. -

Question about Axis project: Is it possible to lock specific axis while using it, so If I wanted to flatten a surface using it but maintain the X/Y position of the affected points (ie only moving them on the Z axis) would that be possible? Oh also, no new bugs found, beta5 is looking good so far :) -

In photoshop overall transparency is not set per brush. If you want your brush tool to have a specific transparency when you select it try using brush presets instead of brushes. http://graphicdesign.about.com/od/photoshoptutorials/ss/tool_presets.htm that way you can set it to be "use brush X with this tool at… -

if only battlefield games were fun for me. oh well. Also, for those of you who are saying they waited till TF2 was a success, and THEN started on this game... come on, clearly not enough time for that. At most, they copied the style off some of the teaser images, but even then, the style is hardly an exact copy of TF2.… -

Ooh, interesting. I've never used the Ribbon in Office, but I was always interested in it. And I'm especially interested in your mention of supporting lmb/mmb/rmb... does this mean you could initiate different actions per mouse-button, like say: flatten x, y or z, depending on which one button you used? -

new avatars= stupid... for 14 y/olds who don't have access to their myspace account and feel the need to be cool and hip. More like something my gf will fall upon when we're piss drunk and can' figure out how to put the game cd in the console. 360 wiimote = waste of hardware, gimmick. :)
