my only real problem with the Orange Box is how shitty the cover looks. too much info, arranged poorly. it's a good thing i bought it on steam, where boxes are, like, so last-gen, man.
Being a big fan of the original, I though Legend was a great revamping and I absolutely loved Anniversary. Seeing all of my old favs brought into current gen was awesome. I'm really looking forward to this one.
Rage looks pretty incredible, but I have to say I hadn't looked at Darksiders much before and it looks awesome; one of the only next-gen games I'm actually looking forward to. Congrats on working on it, Bobo!
Shame you're lookig to get away from the next gen stuff, love your Peril sur Akryls and we're still looking for hi poly artists here at Epic. The cityscape stuff is just stunning. r.
I really enjoyed the first one, looking forward to the second And I really want to try it multiplayer hehe. Thumbs up to GPG, and I can only hope of a Dungeon Siege 3 on a next gen engine.
I'm trying to finish up some portfolio pieces. First up is the space man, then is "the curator" The spaceman will be retopod given the "next gen" treatment, and I'm still playing with his backpack... latest shot: closeup on his head: "the curator" this is a sculpt of the vocalist from the band PORTAL. after these two there…
Hi there, I am currently working on a Fantasy Fountain and it would be great to get your opinion on this piece: For the modelling I used Maya/Zbrush, the texturing is done in Substance Painter. I am at 17k Tris at the moment, would you consider this as to much for a next gen Game Asset? Best, Sebastian
The detail is very good and also the material definition. But 100k for one lamp post is a bit too much for a game. If youre shooting for next gen or archviz or movies, sure, but right now its waaay too much.
Come on, he wasn't that bad as Legolas. But seriously, I prefer more subtle integrations of it. It was terrrrible early last gen, but I think its mellowed out by now. (Sorry dont have any examples ATM)
Nah Nvidia. Last gen it was $$ to get 6GB (980ti). That's why I went with the 390 originally. At the time, it worked really well with 3d applications and had 8GB of VRAM. Not sure what they're doing with the Crimson drivers :/
