If art assets become more detailed and realistic with next gen, they take longer to make and that means more artists needed. The flip side is they might just outsource everything as it becomes to expensive to pay that many artists locally
I work Nightfill at my local supermarket full time 10pm - 6am. Its good money, but i'd like a lighter job so i can have more time to invest in game development and art.
the same is true in every industry - and I would stretch to say it's not local to the US. The corporate model is really good at making the top brass wealthy off the backs of the workers without extending to them the same financial security.
Reflections are weird. What HDRi are you using? Also and additionally; tick local reflections on in the Render tab, it looks funky without. Honestly, I'd make it a little less glossy on the box, too. Looking better, though!
There haven't been any server outages or anything like that that we are aware of, sometimes this can be a local connection issue, or a problem with recently changed firewall settings or something like that. If the problem persists, please contact support@marmoset.co
Picked up some objects at the local flea market. $18 total for the both of these. Going to model these and see how I like this process ... $20 every month or so for real life reference seems reasonable to me.
I would say localize your dirt and wear more. Add it where it would make sense. Have some spec breakup but you don't need dirt and damage everywhere. Add nice edgewear instead.
Hahaha awesome. When I worked at Humongous we had an annual water fight / BBQ with our office park neighbors. The local fire dept would roll over if they weren't busy and join in. Tons of fun.
It looks like you're using the "local" coordinate system. That will give you odd results when selecting multiple faces like on a cylinder. Try switching back to "World" or another mode that will give you better results.
The Crusades had little to do with Jesus. The Crusades were all the Pope and Christian nations getting pissed about Christian pilgrims being murdered by militia in large numbers in the Middle East, and the local rulers not giving a damn.
